Early PRS guitars from the late 1980s are widely regarded as some of the finest instruments ever produced by the company. Built in much smaller numbers and with a huge amount of hand craftsmanship, wood selection and attention to detail, the Pre-Factory era guitars have developed an almost legendary status among PRS enthusiasts.

The PRS Custom was the very first production model introduced by Paul Reed Smith and already featured many iconic PRS design elements:

Condition

The instrument is in exceptional near mint collector-grade condition — remarkably well preserved for a more than 35-year-old PRS from the Pre-Factory era.

Only absolute minimal signs of use are visible. Frets remain in excellent condition and the guitar presents beautifully both visually and technically.
