The Gibson Custom Shop 1956 Les Paul Standard Reissue Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged represents one of the purest expressions of the golden era of electric guitar design. Built by the Gibson Custom Shop and finished through the highly respected Murphy Lab aging process, this model captures the look, feel and character of an exceptionally well-preserved vintage Les Paul from the mid-1950s.

The year 1956 marked an important milestone in Les Paul history with the introduction of the legendary Tune-O-Matic bridge. Combined with a pair of powerful P-90 pickups, the result was an instrument offering outstanding clarity, dynamics and responsiveness while retaining the unmistakable warmth and authority that made the Les Paul a legend.

This particular guitar was built in 2025 and features the sought-after Murphy Lab Ultra Light Aged treatment.
