The Gibson Custom Shop 1957 Les Paul Standard Reissue, commonly known as the R7, is an exceptionally faithful recreation of one of the most iconic Les Paul models ever produced.

Finished in the classic Double Gold with a contrasting Darkback, this guitar perfectly captures the character and appearance of an original 1957 Goldtop. The thin nitrocellulose VOS finish gives the instrument an authentic, gently aged look without the heavy wear associated with Murphy Lab models.

The combination of a mahogany body, maple top, mahogany neck and rosewood fingerboard delivers the unmistakable Les Paul sound: powerful and warm, with excellent sustain, rich harmonic content and plenty of clarity.

A pair of Gibson Custombucker humbuckers provides open, dynamic vintage-style tones inspired by the original late-1950s PAF pickups. The guitar sounds full and expressive while remaining articulate and responsive to the player’s touch.

This example weighs 4.0 kg and is in excellent condition, showing only very subtle signs of careful use. It comes as a complete original set with the Gibson Custom Shop Lifton Reissue case, Certificate of Authenticity and all original case candies.
